Granma Province Benvenuti climbing tallest peak Pico Turquino-Sierra Maestra Mountains	Larry’s first trip to Cuba was in October 1993, when he accompanied members of Basta, a humanitarian organization based in Key West, Florida, to the island. Since that first mission, Larry has made fourteen other licensed journeys to Cuba. His primary purpose is humanitarian—to deliver food and supplies to the people and places that need it. Larry has not been satisfied in only helping the people of Havana, Santiago de Cuba and other large cities. He has traveled to rural areas, the mountains and swamps to find people in need. His focus is to capture the beauty of the people and places of our neighboring nation. He has made many friends in all walks of life and has brought a smile to the face of many a child. Back at home, Larry has written newspaper articles, published his pictures in various magazines and has given slide shows to several community groups.
